The Fall Tennis Classic finally concluded the 2012 season 6 days late because of inclement weather over the tournament weekend. But it was a fitting final match with Barbara Leonard & Beth Sawyer playing the junior team of Cana Courtney & Kat Roberts in an exciting Women's 7.0 Doubles final.

After losing a close first set in a tiebreak,  Barbara and Beth rallied and tied the match with a 6-3 win in the second set. The tournament format prescribed that the match be settled by a 10-point tiebreak and the youngsters were in a winning position with a 8-2 lead, needing just 2 more points to close out the match. But the veterans crawled back from the edge of defeat to win the tiebreak 11-9 and thereby win the match. Thanks Barbara, Beth, Cana and Kat for an exciting final tournament match!
